Honor Someone Special
While Giving to Women’s League

When you make a donation to Women’s League in honor or in memory of someone, you give a unique gift that gives a child a wonderful start in life while honoring someone special to you.  We will send a special letter to the person you honor to tell them about your thoughtful gift. You can donate online or by printing and completing our donation form and mailing us a check.

Ask Your Employer to
Match Your Gift

Many employers will match your donation or will contribute to a charity where you volunteer! Check with your employer to learn more about matching gift programs; you can also check here. It’s often as simple as completing a brief form and your gift to Women’s League could be doubled or tripled. Retired employees are often eligible for an employer match, too.

Host a Facebook Fundraiser
to Benefit Women’s League

Donor-Advised Fund

Put Women’s League
in Your Will

You can make a bequest to Women’s League by including language in your will or living trust leaving a portion of your estate to our organization. Or, you can designate Women’s League as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy. To arrange a bequest from your will or trust, simply contact your estate-planning attorney to create or amend the necessary legal documents.

Below is an example of bequest language that might be used:
“I give to Women’s League Child Development Center, a nonprofit organization located at 1695 Main Street, Hartford, Connecticut 06120 (Federal Tax ID No. 06-0646969), [the sum of $_______ or ___% of my estate] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

Make a Tax-Free Donation from Your Individual Retirement Account

If you are 70 ½ or older, you can donate up to $100,000 directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to eligible nonprofit organizations — including Women’s League! Instruct them to transfer funds to Women’s League Child Development Center, 1695 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06120. Our federal tax ID number is 06-0646969. Help us credit your gift and thank you by having your IRA administrator include your full name and mailing address on the gift.
